General Team News

Welcome back to school!  

We are excited to meet all of you at HilFest on August 6.  HilFest will take place from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm.  At this time, students will meet their teachers and visit numerous booths sponsored by area businesses and organizations.

School Supply List


These materials will be used in all 7th Grade classes and will be needed by all 7th Graders:

(2) Combination Locks
(1) Set of Earbuds
(2) Bottles of Hand Sanitizer
(2) Pack of Colored Pencils
(2) Boxes of Tissues
(2) Packs of Notebook Paper
(2) Packs of Pencils, Mechanical preferred
(1) Pack of Blue or Black Ink Pens

The following supplies are also needed for Team Kani:

(1) Large-sized Spiral-bound Notebook
(1) Pack of Blue/Black Pens (no gel)
(1) Pack of Mechanical Pencils
(4) Packs of Mechanical Pencil Lead (for refills)

Science:
(2) Composition Books
(2) Highlighters
(2) Rolls of Clear Tape
(1) Box of Disposable Gloves

Social Studies:
(1) Composition Book
(3) Pocket folders of the same color with prongs
(2) Highlighters Different Colors
(1) Black Sharpie

7th Grade News: December 2-6, 2019

MAP Testing MAP Testing will take place December 3-5.  The testing schedule is linked here:   MAP Testing Schedule Hilsman Health Center is now open! The Hilsman Health Center is now officially open! In order for students to be served, they need to have a parent/guardian fill out a consent form and return it to Nurse Caitlyn. Once the form is returned, we can schedule an appointment. If students have their consent form signed (and on file) and we get verbal permission, our nurses can walk students to the Health Center while they're at school if it's for urgent care (fever, asthma visit, etc.). Otherwise, it operates like a regular doctor's office! They currently do not have a phone number (they're working on it!), but appointments can still be made through the Athens Neighborhood Health Center. Family Science Night Thursday, March 21 5:00-6:30 pm Please join us! Parent Conferences this week! Parent conferences are this week, Wednesday-Friday. These days are also early release days and school ends at 1:30pm. We hope to see each parent/guardian at Hilsman this week to discuss your student's performance and how to ensure they succeed in the last quarter of the year.
