7th Grade News: April 29 - May 3, 2019

Progress Reports They were sent home Friday, April 26. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact one of your student's teachers. There is a faculty list as the bottom of this blog post. 7th grade awards ceremony UPDATE: The school district has provided transportation during the school day to Cedar Shoals on May 14. The 7th grade awards ceremony will take place around 10am-11am, but the exact time will be determined soon. This means we do not have to host the awards ceremony in the evening when some students cannot attend! Students who will receive awards will be getting invitations this week. Band concert on Monday, May 6 It will start at 6:30pm and take place in the Cedar Shoals theater. We hope to see you there! Agriscience/FFA News Tuesday, April 30. Agriscience Meeting 7:30-8:00am. FFA Ice Cream Social- 4:00-6:00. Bring a topping if you would like or just come and enjoy those provided by FFA and our leadership team! Thursday, May 2 SAE Workday 4-5.

College or Career Shirt Day: Monday 4/22 Students are encouraged to wear a college or career t-shirt with uniform bottoms. Please make sure college or career is visible. Solid colors are not allowed. Monday 4/1- High school Physical Science You received a letter with information about high school Physical Science during your students' conference. Those letters are due on May 1. If you still have questions about your student taking this high school class as a 8th grade student, please contact one of the science teachers or Malenie Maxey at maxeym@clarke.k12.ga.us. Orchestra Concert:  Thursday April 11th The Spring Concert will feature ALL Hilsman Orchestra Students. Please invite friends and family to come enjoy the concert! Students should report to the orchestra room at Cedar Shoals between 5:45-6:00 already dressed and ready to perform. Students will need to bring their own violins and violas with them that day.  Students with home cellos and basses may bring them. School instruments will be provided for students without a cello or bass. Concert attire consists of a black collared shirt and black or khaki pants or skirts. Please no shorts or short skirts and no hoodies.
