General Team News

Welcome back to school!  

We are excited to meet all of you at HilFest on August 8.  HilFest will take place from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm.  At this time students will receive their schedules, meet their teachers, and visit numerous booths sponsored by area businesses and organizations.

School Supply List

All 7th grade students: 
(2) Combination Locks
Pencils
Blue or Black Pens
(3) Packs of Loose-Leaf Lined Paper
(3) Composition Books
Colored Pencils
Earbuds
(4) Packs of 3 inch x 5 inch index cards

 Homeroom:
Hand Sanitizer
Kleenex Tissues
ELA: 
(8) pocket folders of the same color

 Math: 
(2) composition books or binder specifically for MATH
(1) roll of tape
(1) box/pack of pencils 
We are always in need of PENCILS!!!

Science: 
(1)one inch 3-ring binder with pockets
(2) packs of dividers
(1) pack sheet protectors
pencils (mechanical preferred) 
(1) set of colored pencils and/or crayons

 Social Studies: 
(8) pocket folders of the same color (prongs optional)
(2) highlighters different colors
(1) black Sharpie

7th Grade News: December 2-6, 2019

MAP Testing MAP Testing will take place December 3-5.  The testing schedule is linked here:   MAP Testing Schedule Hilsman Health Center is now open! The Hilsman Health Center is now officially open! In order for students to be served, they need to have a parent/guardian fill out a consent form and return it to Nurse Caitlyn. Once the form is returned, we can schedule an appointment. If students have their consent form signed (and on file) and we get verbal permission, our nurses can walk students to the Health Center while they're at school if it's for urgent care (fever, asthma visit, etc.). Otherwise, it operates like a regular doctor's office! They currently do not have a phone number (they're working on it!), but appointments can still be made through the Athens Neighborhood Health Center. Family Science Night Thursday, March 21 5:00-6:30 pm Please join us! Parent Conferences this week! Parent conferences are this week, Wednesday-Friday. These days are also early release days and school ends at 1:30pm. We hope to see each parent/guardian at Hilsman this week to discuss your student's performance and how to ensure they succeed in the last quarter of the year.
