It's hard to believe that we are already in week 3 of the new school year. All math classes are off to a great start! We have been reviewing 6th grade content and learning about positive and negative numbers. Students were assigned their first homework assignment last week (due Thursday, 8/17). Students also completed their first "Check-up" quiz (Friday, 8/18). Grades will be posted every 7-10 days.

This week, we will pick up with our discussion of positive and negative numbers, with an emphasis placed on developing an algorithm for addition and subtraction. Homework will be given on Tuesday and due on Thursday this week. Students have been assigned 10 problems (Investigation 1 questions: 1, 3, 5, 6, 8, 21, 22, 31, 33, and 34) in the "Additional Skills and Practice Resource" on Google Classroom. This homework assignment should be completed on paper and is due on Thursday, 8/24.

Please feel free to email your child's respective math teacher if you have any questions.
