Math News
This week in math we will continue our study in Unit 3. Unit 3 focuses on Expressions, Equations, and Inequalities. As stated within the past few weeks, we are on track to end Unit 3 before the holiday break. This week, we are learning how to solve problems using equations. We are practicing one-step and two-step equations. The work we are doing now with algebra will pay-off when students reach 8th grade and even more so in high school.
Important note for this week: students will be taking the winter MI (Math Inventory) exam on Friday. We are working each day on MobyMax “Fact Fluency” to gear up for this test.

Our learning schedule this week:
Monday: Using Equations to Solve Problems
Tuesday: Solving Equations continued...
Wednesday: More Equations
Thursday: MI Review Day
Friday: MI TEST

As always, please feel free to email your child's respective math teacher if you have any questions.
