Math News
Last week in math, we wrapped up Unit 3, Expressions and Equations. This week, we will begin our study of Unit 4, Probability! Probability, by definition, is the the extent to which an event is likely to occur, measured by the ratio of the favorable cases to the whole number of cases possible (i.e. chance of rain tomorrow/weather forecast). We will be using different investigations, as well as some hands-on experiments to study probability. Since we have a normal 5-day school week, students can expect to be given a homework assignment on Tuesday that will be due on Thursday. Students can also expect to have a "check-up" quiz on Friday to assess their current understanding of probability. As always, please feel free to email your child's respective math teacher if you have any questions.
