Social Studies News
Students are finishing unit 1, which was a study of the Middle East's geography, environmental issues, religions, and ethnic groups. They received a study guide last week. Our study guides in 7th grade social studies may be an unfamiliar format. We provide both questions and answers. These are not same questions as on the test, but they address the same content. We ask students to study using at least three different strategies and get initials from a parent/guardian for at least one of those strategies. See below for a digital copy of the study guide.
Upcoming social studies dates:
Thursday, Sept 6 - Students will receive a study guide for their first social studies test. They need to complete 3 different study methods and get a parent/guardian or teacher signature for each.
Wednesday, Sept 12- Study guide due
Thursday, Sept 13 - Review day for test; also, Unit 1 Starters are due (students have been keeping all of their bell ringer work on notebook paper, which will be turned in for a classwork grade)
Friday, Sept 14 - Unit 1 Social Studies test (topic: geography, religions, and cultures of the Middle East)
