Due to our shortened week with the student holiday on Monday as well as Early Release for Parent-Teacher conferences Wednesday-Friday, students will focus their time in class on reading two short, but very intriguing Sci-Fi texts, and then they will respond to those texts through writing. Students will also have the opportunity to purchase books at the Book Fair this week when we visit the Media Center for both Book Fair and check-outs on Thursday, Oct. 13th. Parents are welcome to also visit the Book Fair with their child to browse and/or purchase books on Wednesday afternoon/evening. Parent Conference Week Parent Conferences will take place this week! Team Kani will host 20 minute conferences and you will have the opportunity to speak to each teacher on the team.  You will start your conference with a pair of teachers and then meet with the next pair.  Mrs. Hubbard and Coach Page will meet with parents in Coach Page's room for a 10 minute conference.  Mr. Spinks and Ms. Hughes will meet with parents in Ms. Hughes's room for the remaining 10 minutes of your 20 minute conference time. Due to our shortened week with the student holiday on Monday as well as Early Release for Parent-Teacher conferences Wednesday-Friday, students will focus their time in class on reading two short, but very intriguing Sci-Fi texts, and then they will respond to those texts through writing.
