7th Grade News: January 22-25, 2019

Binder Check Updates
Binder checks are continuing for the rest of the year. However, beginning this quarter, each teacher will now be checking for materials specific to that specific content area, not just checking for basic school supplies. Your child has a list of what is being checked in each class, which may change each week. As usual, students who earn enough points by the end of each month will continue to earn a dress down day! If you are in need of supplies for your child or would like to donate supplies, please contact your child's homeroom teacher.

Black History Month Program
The Hilsman Black History month presentation will take place on Thursday, February 21 from 6-7pm. Any students interested in performing, participating, or assisting with the presentation should contact Mr. Black in or Ms. Page in 8th grade.

Reviewing Important Standards and Skills
The 7th grade teachers decided one way we will support students is to conduct a weekly review in each class of the most important standards and skills to prepare students for state testing and 8th grade. Science classes will support our math teachers and review math skills and concepts. Social studies teachers will support our ELA teachers and review language arts skills and concepts. This weekly review will continue at least through the beginning of April. If you have any questions, let us know! We'd be glad to answer them.
